Titan Mercury Wrestling Club’s Joey McKenna and Jonny Ruggiano have been added to USA Wrestling Wrestling’s Board of Directors. McKenna’s will serve as a member of the Athlete Advisory Counsel (AAC) and Ruggiano will serve as the representative for the United States Federation of Wrestling Clubs (USFWC). Both McKenna and Ruggiano also serve on the Men’s Freestyle Sport Committee, with Ruggiano also a member of the Women’s Freestyle Sport Committee.

McKenna has been one of Titan Mercury’s top competitors. He is a former multiple World medalist at the age group level, a U.S. Open Champion and multiple national team member. As a collegiate athlete, Joey wrestled at both Stanford and Ohio State and earned 3 AA honors. Joey trains at Penn RTC out of the University of Pennsylvania.

Ruggiano has been a member of TMWC since 2013. Currently he serves as the Director of Operations for the Club. Ruggiano has also been the media director for TMWC. In addition to his positions with TMWC and USAW, he has served in various past roles such as the Executive Director of the American Wrestling League, Executive Producer of the RTC, American and Captain’s Cups and a former Director of Operations for the Freestyle World Cup.

McKenna and Ruggiano join several other TMWC members on the USA Wrestling Board of Directors, which holds 44 positions in total. Already existing members of the board include:

TMWC board member Kerry McCoy who serves USAW as the 1st Vice President, Coaches counsel representative and Chair of the Freestyle Sport Committee.

TMWC athlete, Mallory Velte serves as USA Wrestling’s AAC Chair.

TMWC Coach, Nate Engel serves as a member of the Greco Roman AAC.

TMWC Athletes, Michael Macchiavello and Vito Arujau serve as members of the AAC as Freestyle athletes.

Former TMWC wrestler, Katherine Shai serves as an At-Large member of the AAC.
